Others rely on you - but that doesn't mean you always feel okay.

You're juggling care responsibilities, maybe a job too. You're exhausted, emotionally overloaded, and still pushing through.

Therapy is support for you, in the middle of all the giving.

How Therapy Can Help

In our sessions, we can explore:

  • Overwhelm, burnout and carer guilt

  • Feeling like you never "switch off"

  • Constant overthinking and emotional overload

  • Feeling unseen, unsupported or resentful

  • Boundaries with family, work, or even yourself

  • Ways to soften the pressure - without more to-do lists.

About me

Hi, I'm Leanne Scriven, founder of Puradesa Therapy

I'm a UK BACP therapist who specialises in supporting carers - people who hold a lot for others, often at the cost of themselves.

Whether you're caring for a parent, partner, friend or through your work, I offer warm, grounded therapy to help you find balance again.

I'm also an IMI accredited mediator so I understand the stresses on family dynamics that caring for someone can cause.

Therapy - it's the place where you don't have to hold it all together.

What Working Together Looks Like

Things People Often Ask Before Starting Therapy With Me

Do I have to be a formal carer?

Not at all. If you feel responsible for someone else's wellbeing, and it's taking a toll, this space is for you. I work with paid carers, unpaid carers and those who work in a caring-related profession.

What if I'm not sure if I need therapy?

That's totally okay. The discovery call is just a chat. No pressure. And can be where we talk through what's happening for you, to help decide if we are a good fit to work together.

It Doesn't Have to Stay This Hard.

Therapy is a place to breathe, reset, reconnect and find balance again.
